Not only was the Delta Ottawa City Centre pet friendly (and truly so since the staff was so welcoming to Bear), but the bed in the room was honestly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I felt like a Queen sprawled out in the King-sized bed with luxurious pillows and comfy sheets.
I was impressed by the colourful paintings on the walls and it really brightened up the room in a festive way. The room was cleaned spotless and smelled fresh.
The hotel as a whole was bright with colourful art, funky furniture, comfortable seating, natural light, and friendly concierge and doormen. You were guaranteed to receive a greeting both exiting and entering the building, a simple gesture that is always appreciated and goes a long way into enhancing your stay!
I really appreciated how friendly the staff was to Bear – they even asked if they could take him for walks if needed! Despite the generous offer, Bear is simply a fine behaved pooch and we took him with us pretty much everywhere we went.
Another great part of our stay (next to the amazing bed) was the hotel’s proximity to events downtown and/or nearby, whether that was the changing of the guards at the War Memorial, Parliament, Byward Market, and numerous parks showcasing the beautiful, blooming tulips for the Tulip Festival.
To me, a hotel that is welcoming to dogs says a lot. Dogs are truly a member of the family and when they are treated with respect, it goes a long way and helps tremendously to have a great trip, all members of the family included.
